INNOVAguide,
LLC DK Web Designs has worked with INNOVAguide, an eLearning and consulting
firm, on several projects. These projects include the initial website development,
seminar registration system, and a members only portal including a discussion
board and file sharing system.
The seminar registration system allowed
for the consulting firm to dynamically post upcoming seminars from an administration
panel from any web browser. Visitors and clients could then register and pay online
for their registration. The administrator could also update and remove seminars
from the online database.
The members only portal was integrated into the
existing website. Its main purpose was for selective individuals to have access
to a discussion area and a file sharing system.
The first step in developing
the members only portal was for a member registration system for users to register
to gain access to the members area. Once registered and approved by the administrator,
the user gains member only access and can also view and update their account at
any time.
The administrator control panel allows for the administrators
to approve pending registrations, set expiration dates, mailing list features,
add, update, and delete member accounts.
Once inside the members only area,
there is the option for the discussion area or the file sharing area. The discussion
area is a message board run by an Access database. Users can create topics and
reply to existing topics. There is a separate administrative control panel just
for the message board which dynamically controls every aspect and user permissions.
The
file sharing system is an area where users can upload files and search through
categories for files available for download. The idea behind this was for multiple
people working on projects, etc. to be able to download particular images, documents,
spreadsheets, pdfs, etc. There is a separate administrative control panel just
for the file sharing system for approving, adding, editing, and deleting files
and also for creating categories. |
